A Walk in the Park of Love is a subtle and touching work of art that radiates both emotion and refinement. The sculpture depicts a couple in love, strolling, exploring the relationship between two lovers and their imperfections through Konta’s distinctive sculptural technique, which symbolizes the inherent imperfections of humanity.
Konta skillfully uses bronze as a medium to convey the profound emotions and complexities of human connection, underscoring that a loving relationship requires constant nurturing and growth. The sculpture highlights the idea that love in itself is often not enough, but effort must be made to preserve and cultivate a relationship.
In this work, the artist employs soft lines and fluid shapes to highlight the intimacy and closeness of the couple, while emphasizing their individuality and uniqueness. Details such as a kiss or an embrace showcase Konta’s extraordinary skill and understanding of human nature.
A Walk in the Park of Love is not only an aesthetically striking work, but a profound reflection on love, relationships, and human connection. Josip Konta uses the sculpture to remind us of the importance of commitment in relationships and the effort required for love to flourish and overcome the imperfections that are an inevitable part of human nature.Josip Konta’s sculptural works reflect the artist’s deep fascination with themes of alienation, various states of the human spirit, and the individual’s position in society. Through his sculptures, Konta explores the complexity of human nature and the internal conflicts that accompany contemporary society.
His sculptural technique includes voids and irregularities in modeling, which are closely tied to the concept of negative space, further emphasizing the importance of the relationship between form and void in his works.
Konta uses negative space to achieve a specific aesthetic and convey a message in his works. The voids and irregularities in the sculptures symbolize feelings of alienation, emotional emptiness, or a lack of communication, further reinforcing his explored themes. The horse in Konta’s sculptural works often symbolizes humanity’s ideal reflection – that sought-after, better part of us that is difficult, and sometimes impossible, to achieve. The artist uses this motif to underscore the necessity of introspection for every individual.
Notably, the artist supports complete interpretive freedom for viewers of his sculptures, acknowledging that each interpretation of the work is subject to each individual’s personal experience based on their life experiences and understanding of the world.
